Saint29’s Pierce North, Motivation, Mastery, and the Making of Virginia’s Next Breakout Star

Every artist has a starting point, but for Pierce North, the journey began long before he ever stepped into a studio.
Every artist has a starting point, but for Pierce North, the journey began long before he ever stepped into a studio. Long before the streams, the fans, and the momentum.
Growing up in Virginia, Pierce spent countless hours in his grandfather’s basement, surrounded by vintage DJ equipment from the 1980s. Turntables. Vinyl walls. Subwoofers so huge they practically shook the floor. What began as childhood imagination turned into the foundation of a lifelong passion. “I didn’t know anything about making music back then,” he says, “but I felt at home in that basement.”
Fast forward to today, and Pierce is carving out a name as one of the most versatile young artists coming out of the South. Engineering, producing, writing, he does it all at a high level, blending gritty Southern roots with sharp, forward thinking artistry.
But even the most talented artists need fuel, and for Pierce, much of that comes from his brother in music and Saint29 counterpart, Papi Pino. The two have built a chemistry that pushes them both to evolve. “Every time I ever thought about giving up, he pushed me further,” Pierce says. Their natural versatility, and their drive to explore new sounds, keeps everything fresh. In the studio, it feels less like work and more like discovery.
Right now, Pierce is entering the strongest run of his career yet. His debut project V is fully complete and undergoing final mix touches before its release. Seven tracks. No skips. Pure energy from start to finish. “It feels like everything has been leading up to this moment,” Pierce says, and the excitement around it is growing.
Beyond his solo work, the Saint29 tape with Pino is nearing completion, showcasing the duo’s unmatched chemistry. Another collaborative tape with PL4L Wick is also on the way, proving Pierce isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
And then there’s the co sign that has everybody talking, Scott Storch, one of the most iconic producers of the last two decades, sent Pierce a beat. It’s already in the studio pipeline and scheduled to drop after the V rollout. It’s the kind of moment that signals an artist leveling up quickly.
Even with early success on SoundCloud and thousands of streams across platforms, Pierce views everything so far as just the foundation. “Honestly, all of that feels like practice,” he admits. “We’re just getting started.”
Pierce North is standing at the edge of something big, confidence sharpened, sound evolving, vision crystal clear. As the releases roll out and his name spreads beyond Virginia, one thing is becoming unmistakably clear:
He isn’t just an artist to watch.
He’s an artist built for longevity, legacy, and leadership in a new era of Southern music.
